Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy)A Plant Manager is required for a global leader, residentially based in Perth.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our client's team in the mining sector. As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production, adherence to safety regulations, and effective utilization of resources. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership, change management, technical expertise, and effective communication skills.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the operation of the plant, including production, maintenance, and safety.Develop and implement production plans to meet production targets and optimize plant efficiency.Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture amongst the plant staff.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plant operations.Manage and coordinate plant maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance and repair work.Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.Train and mentor plant staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.RequirementsExperience in plant operations, preferably in the mining industry.Experience in maintenance engineering.Strong knowledge of plant processes and equipment used in the resources and mining industry.Change management.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Experience working in unionized environments.Proven track record of achieving production targets and improving plant efficiency.Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in implementing safety programs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
