Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the right place, at the right time.
As Planning and Scheduling Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation and governance of the production schedule to support site operations. You will do this by interpreting the demand and Materials Requirements Planning information to produce production plans for manufacturing operations in an ideal sequence whilst maintaining continuous, uninterrupted supply into the commercial market. You will lead weekly planning meetings with relevant manufacturing departments in order to execute the plans within the scheduling time fence parameters.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
Develop detailed production schedules to support manufacturing.
Convert planned orders to process orders for manufacturing.
Ensure there are no missing parts on process orders to ensure timely release.
Outlook of long-range operational plan (12 months), adjust and provide recommendations to the facility.
Conduct weekly planning meetings with various departments.
Participate and contribute to Monthly Supply Review Meetings.
Implement timely schedule adjustments based on changes in demand.
Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics versus established targets.
Communicate effectively with customers and decision makers regarding supply status and potential risks.
Ensure the accuracy of Systems Applications and Products (SAP) system generated production plans.
Support annual budget/planning process for manufacturing operations.
Tracking and monitoring of expiration dates of stock to ensure consistent supply.
What You Must Have
Prior relevant experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems/concepts, preferably SAP and strong computer skills to include Excel.
Production planning and/or inventory management experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
Customer focused (internal and external) in a dynamic environment.
Focused on collaboration with a constructive and proactive attitude.
Executes processes that proactively identify, mitigate, manage and prevent supply issues in order to support CSL (Customer Service Level).
Evaluate root cause when errors occur, prevent re-occurrence and determine future opportunities/efficiencies for improvement.
Ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a problem solver and an enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
Motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects.
