We take pride in our focus on safety, while driving a strong people-focused culture to make transformations toward a sustainable and smart future.About YouDue to ongoing growth of our West Business Unit we are looking for an experienced Pipeline Manager with a wealth of experience, predominantly in the Oil and Gas industry.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to independently win and run projects as well as lead and oversee the development of a growing team.Ideally, you will have:Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent10+ years' experience in design or integrity management of Oil & Gas or Slurry pipelinesChartered Status with Engineers Australia, or equivalent (Preferred)Demonstrated Australian experience in pipeline design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases as well as Operations and Maintenance to Australian Standard AS2885Good understanding of relevant Australian acts, regulations, standards and codes related to the pipeline industryA high safety awarenessDemonstrated ability to engage with clients to build trusting and positive relationshipsHighly developed leadership, communication, team and interpersonal skillsProven ability to engage, work within or supervise an engineering teamProven ability to assist in the development of other team membersKey ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Engineering Manager, your main responsibilities will include:Ensuring your team members are engaged in The Verbrec WayEnsuring team members are kept safe when working (including when travelling for work) by making sure they know and follow all relevant HSE policies, standards and proceduresLeading by example to demonstrate Verbrec focus and priority on HSE to our team members and to our customersEnsuring team members clearly understand the businesses' priorities and challenges and have documented objectivesEnsuring that all work within your team meets the customer's needs, including quality and schedule whilst demonstrating a high level of responsiveness and agilityEnsuring designs developed by team members comply with all relevant regulations and Verbrec technical standardsEnsuring cost effective solutions are achieved by providing input and review of outputsDriving innovation as a core value in your business unit by ensuring your team members are encouraged for identifying improved processes/methods/toolsContributing towards, and lead where necessary, proposals and tendersProviding technical support in the Engineering and Design processes for pipelinesParticipating as a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team to positively contribute to the overall benefit of the Business Unit, in cooperation with other Business Unit Leadership Team members, working as a team including joint decision making.Actively conduct resource planning to ensure business needs are met whilst the team delivers projects efficientlyMaintaining and fostering relationships with contractors and clientsThis is a dynamic role where you will need to have a keen eye for detail and be able to multi-task with ease.
