About the role We have an exciting newly created opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist - Injury Prevention and Management to join our Safety team. Based in Whyalla and reporting to the Superintendent of Health, Hygiene and Systems, you will be joining a high performing and collaborative HSE team. This role will play an integral part in our team where you will provide support for the application of injury management, early intervention, and proactive health and wellbeing programs. We would support relocation to Whyalla or can offer a FIFO arrangement with Adelaide as point hire. Responsibilities include: Provide technical expertise in injury prevention, injury management/rehabilitation, and return to work processes, including the development of suitable duties plans and associated documents. Oversee and coordinate the SIMEC early intervention program. Liaise with key stakeholders, contractors, and management to ensure the correct Injury Management processes are followed. Provide leadership, coaching, and specialist advice to key stakeholders on health and wellbeing matters - from the front line through to site senior leadership. Develop, coordinate, and report on the SIMEC Whyalla health and wellbeing program, inclusive of hazardous manual task management and improving the safety of work. Develop job dictionaries to support pre-employment and return to work management. Oversee health data analytics, through execution of data integrity and governance activities. Provide support for health and hygiene monitoring activities undertaken by external hygienists and nurses. Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and collaborative individual that has a passion for health and safety as well as achieving positive health outcomes for people. You will also possess the following: Tertiary qualification and proven experience as a Physiotherapist. Return to work Coordinator certification training (desirable). Experience in Injury Management and Workcover claims management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Competency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent stakeholder engagement and management. High attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Demonstrated knowledge of SA mining health and safety legislation.
