Physiotherapy, OT & Rehabilitation (Healthcare & Medical)Government - State (Government & Defence)The Mater Health Physiotherapy Department is looking for a new Physiotherapist to join our Mothers, Women's and Pelvic Health team. The successful applicant will be offered an 8 month fixed term contract, where you will work full time (38 hours/week) at the South Brisbane campus.As a member of the Mothers, Women's & Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team, you will provide patient centred, evidence based clinical care in various caseloads such as; the area of antenatal and postnatal care, in an inpatient, outpatient, and group education setting. This will include caring for women with obstetric, musculo-skeletal and pelvic health concerns.Please note this role will also involve weekend and evening class rosters as required.Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols at Mater Mothers HospitalsApply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervisionProvide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteersContribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teamsIdentify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomesActively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agenciesYou may be required to work across different Mater facilities, services and/or sites as required by the organisationAbout youYou will be a AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council with post graduate training and experience in Obstetrics, Women's and Pelvic Health.
