The Role:We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our multidisciplinary team located at the Royal Hobart Hospital. The Pharmacist will supervise the manufacture of all pharmaceuticals produced by the Immunology & Allergy Unit (Jack Jumper Allergy Program) to ensure a high quality and safe service for our patients.
You will need:Demonstrated hospital pharmacy experience, including a minimum of 12 months experience in hospital pharmacy manufacturing services.Knowledge and practical experience in the application of Pharmacy Department policies and procedures including State regulations, professional practice guidelines and the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice that applies to manufacturing services.Knowledge and understanding of accreditation procedures, quality improvement and risk management strategies relating to manufacturing services.Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, professional colleagues and other personnel as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
The Team:The Immunology and Allergy Unit (Jack Jumper Allergy Program) consists of a highly skilled and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, nurses, scientists, pharmacists, and technicians. The unit is a relatively new statewide service and is dedicated to developing its operations to combat one of the fastest growing chronic diseases in Australia - Allergy.
Details of appointment:Fixed term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately twelve (12) months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
$106,966 to $123,013 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% casual loading - equivalent to $67.40 per hour - $77.51 per hour.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
