With approximately 140 employees working in the main divisions of Marine, Dive and Construction, PMG prides itself on its ability to efficiently undertake work in each of these areas as well as complete larger projects integrating all divisions of the business.
About the Roles PMG is always looking for suitably qualified, motivated and energetic marine professionals to join the team:
Masters (Master Class 3, Master 4, and Master 5)Marine Engineers (MEC3 Engineer, MED1, and MED2)General Purpose HandsSuccessful candidates will undertake tug and barge operations in marine construction environments, as well as assist with the operation of other marine equipment and associated construction activities as required. During project downtime, successful candidates will assist with yard work and vessel maintenance.
About the Candidates Candidates will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our vessels. They must work well in a team environment, possess good communication skills, and manage competing or changing priorities. With a hands-on attitude to their work, all team members will consider the project requirements when fulfilling their role and work together to achieve these.
Previous experience in the marine construction industry, particularly in tug and barge and/or landing craft experience, will be well regarded, as will the following qualifications:
Certificate of Safety Training (CoST)GMDSSAMSA medicalFirst Aid & Advanced ResuscitationFollowing initial projects, successful candidates may have the opportunity to be considered for other upcoming work and ongoing full-time positions with Pacific Marine Group.
