About the RoleAs the Lead – Performance & Projects, you will be at the forefront of designing and deploying a robust performance framework while leading other significant HR functional projects. This role is critical in ensuring our HR processes, especially performance management systems, operate seamlessly and effectively across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Project Management: Lead the implementation of company-wide HR processes, focusing on the performance management system. Ensure end-to-end delivery of solutions from design to stakeholder engagement and project execution.Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing team responsible for performance and projects, including resource management, planning, and team development.Strategic Leadership: Provide thought leadership on performance management, capability development, and other HR initiatives. Present strategic concepts to senior leaders to achieve organisational goals.Target Operating Model: Develop and maintain the target operating model to support the performance management system, including governance and reporting mechanisms.Technology Roadmap: Oversee the design and implementation of the performance management technology roadmap, ensuring system alignment with business goals.Change Management: Develop and execute change management and communication strategies for performance management and leadership programs.Training Development: Create training materials and support documents, managing their delivery across internal platforms.Vendor & Budget Management: Manage external providers and budgets to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope and frameworks.About YouThis role will suit someone with:
HR experience, with a proven track record in large-scale HR projects and performance management.Extensive experience in HR leadership roles within complex and dynamic environments.Expertise in project management, with formal accreditation (preferred).Strong experience in change management, with certification in Prosci or a similar methodology.Experience managing HR technology systems such as SuccessFactors or Workday.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field (Postgraduate qualifications preferred).Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
