01st October, 2024 About the Team We are a high performing, collaborative People & Development team and have an opportunity for a People & Development Officer to join our Sydney team.
Our national P&D team boasts a number of experienced managers across People and Talent Acquisition who are, not only experts in their area of expertise, but who are supportive and willing to mentor and guide others in the team.
The role Working alongside our People & Development Manager, who will invest in your growth and development, in supporting our stakeholders and employees in both our Sydney and Canberra offices.
In addition to this you will work with the national P&D team on firm wide projects as they arise.
Day to day you can expect the position to include: Act as a point of contact for all P&D related enquires, escalating those of a more complex nature Taking ownership of employee files and data in our HRIS (IntelliHR) Completing relevant information for new starters, on-boarding, probation, review and exit processes Support the TA team with the recruitment process as required including assisting with preparation of employment contracts Coordinate and assist with practicing certificate renewals Assist with our Early Careers program including assisting our talent team with interview scheduling, rotation reviews and assist with the coordination of rotations Coordinating secondments, work experience and temporary workers Support WHS & Worker's Compensation administration Assist with the coordination of performance reviews Assist with P&D projects as required Your skills and experience To succeed in this role you will, ideally, possess: Relevant tertiary education A minimum of 2 years' experience in a P&D Advisory or TA role Professional approach to business and excellent client service focus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong relationship management experience Ability to multi-task and adapt to change Well-developed time management skills High attention to detail and accuracy A solutions oriented approach with a willingness to pitch in and support the wider team when needed Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Appreciate the importance of maintaining confidentiality Resilience and a sense of humour!
