About the RoleThe People and Culture Co-ordinator will contribute to the success of Avant by providing advice and support on a broad range of people matters. The People and Culture Co-ordinator will provide assistance to the People and Culture team on a range of services covering the employee life cycle.This will include working autonomously under the guidance of the People and Culture Manager to provide advice to managers and employees on people related matters.This is a 12 month Max Term Contract opportunity based in our Sydney Darling Park offices. We have a hybrid work policy.This role provides support across the broad generalist spectrum and requires an ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload in a fast paced, changing environment.The position operates in a specialist environment and the incumbent is required to use initiative and judgment in contributing towards the development and implementation of plans, policies and practices in the People and Culture area. The position will be aware of information that will require a confidential approach to the work undertaken.Key responsibilities:Act as first point of contact for people leaders and employees in the resolution of a broad range of human resource enquiries, including managing the People and Culture inboxProvide policy guidance to managers and employeesProvide advice to managers and employees on basic contractual matters and performance and recruitment issuesManage administration of process, including correspondence, exit interviews and surveysManage data integrity and online platform for annual and quarterly engagement surveysManage contract and correspondence preparation for all employees, ensuring templates are appropriately utilised and maintainedProvide ad-hoc support to Talent Acquisition team to manage the administrative aspects of the recruitment functionProvide support for annual remuneration review processContribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, processes, guidelines to gain efficiencies and improve serviceAssist People and Culture team with implementation of strategic initiatives including ownership and project management of some people and culture business improvement projectEnsure organisation charts are accurate and regularly updated and available on the intranetManage employee reward and recognition and service award programsParticipate in and provide support for key People and Culture initiatives, including undertaking researchParticipate in WHS Committee, take minutes and manage People and Culture reporting requirements, including quarterly Incident/Injury Notification reportTo be successful you will have:Relevant Human Resources work experience and/or degree qualified in Human Resources or similar discipline, or working towardsAbility to deliver exceptional service by focusing on the needs of employees and leadersAbility to inspire confidence of leaders and employees through effective verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by approachability and timely resolution of enquiriesAbility to take the initiative to proactively and independently resolve issues, and to also recognise when issues require escalation.Proactively provide solutions to problems outside of remit as part of escalation.Strong attention to detailProven ability to plan and establish priorities and work to strict timelines whilst managing a busy workloadAbility to deal sensitively and constructively with issues which impact on employeesIf you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service - apply now!Why work at Avant?
