Thanks for considering embarking on a journey with Pillow Talk! We call it a journey because for many of our colleagues that's exactly what it's been. Whether you're interested in a horizontal or vertical career path, the opportunities at Pillow Talk are abundant - not even the sky is the limit.
By way of brief introduction, we are a well-established, on-trend home décor and linen retailer. From humble beginnings (some 47 years ago!), we've scaled to 70 stores across Australia and we're still growing! Our inspiration is drawn from the love and pursuit of comfort and immersing this beautifully simple concept into the lives of our customers. Home really is where the heart is, and for those of you who join us, that's just how you'll feel - at home!
Now is your chance to be woven into the Pillow Talk fabric by joining us as a People and Culture Administrator at our enviable Darra Head Office. As a People and Culture Administrator, you'll be the thread that keeps everything running smoothly, instrumental in supporting activities that contribute to creating an employee-oriented, high-performance culture.
In this exciting role, you'll be accountable for providing exceptional day-to-day HR coordination and administrative services across the entire employee life cycle, from recruitment through to off-boarding. You'll also support various People team projects, specifically seasonal recruitment, data cleansing, and systems implementation/maintenance - making sure our culture of empowerment, quality, productivity, and goal attainment is always top-notch.
A bit about you... You've got at least two years' of admin experience (bonus points if it's in HR) and you love a good checklist – the dopamine hit when you tick things off is real! You can embrace the unpredictability of the day like a pro juggler, switching between tasks with your razor-sharp focus intact. Grammatical errors don't stand a chance with you - you've got an eagle eye for detail and can spot a typo from a mile away. You're quick (think Usain Bolt quick), and your strong sense of urgency allows you to thrive under pressure amongst tight deadlines. You're a people person with the ability to make anyone feel welcome - whether it's colleagues or candidates, you connect with them effortlessly. Positive, enthusiastic, and well-humored (if you can crack a smile on a Monday morning, you're our kind of person!) You're proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel - so data manipulation and aggregation is a piece of cake. You've got experience working across multiple systems and are always keen to find ways to improve processes.
