Located in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, we are looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join a large NFP organisation. With upwards of 10,000 employees, we would like to speak to candidates who have previously held a Team Leader position, leading 3+ employees in a large volume environment. Alternatively we would also like to see any applications from Payroll Managers in smaller environments who would like to gain volume payroll experience.
The role:
As a Payroll Team Leader reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring a team of 5+ employees alongside the Payroll ManagerEfficiently coordinating end to end payroll operations within a comprehensive payroll system.Reconciliation of employee pay and accrued leave entitlements.Managing the processing of documentation for new hires and departures.Providing timely and accurate responses to payroll inquiries from employees.Facilitating payroll adjustments for salary increments and contributing to month-end and year-end procedures.Undertaking various administrative duties, such as file maintenance, creation of new employee records, distribution of starter kits, and managing the process for police checks, including reimbursing associated expenses.The Successful Candidate: Previous experience in a Payroll Team Leader role, leading at least 3 employees, or Payroll Manager from a smaller organisation who wants to gain experience in a volume environment.Prior payroll experience with one of the large payroll systems eg Chris21, SAP Volume payroll experience, within large organisations Ideally industry experience such as Health, NFP, Aged care or similarStrong time management and organisational capabilities.Solid verbal and written communicationDemonstrated aptitude for meeting deadlines and fostering teamworkFiner details: Hybrid working model after the initial training period (3months)A range of benefits on top of salary and superannuation including salary packaging and extra leave entitlementsDiscounted parking onsiteWe will be reviewing applications as they are received so, please apply here today if this role is of interest.
