Role Description The Payroll & Operations Support Officer provides support to payroll, human resources and operations teams at Redland Head Office in Albion Queensland. 
Primary responsibilities Payroll, human resources and operations administration  Assist in supporting accurate and efficient end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll processing, month-end, quarter-end and year-end tasks and reconciliations across time & attendance and payroll management systems.Interpreting multiple Awards and EBAs.First point of contact for Redland Head Office Payroll and for associated payroll queries, collaborating widely in a friendly and positive manner. Support Teams to enable general employee hiring, onboarding administration and co-ordination at Redland Head Office, including interview scheduling, preparation & coordinationAssist with the preparation of policy and contract documentation such as new employment contracts, variations to standard hours of work, pay increases, performance and end of probation advice.Assist in setting up and finalising employees in relevant systems for Redland (setup, profiles, rosters, schedules, leave, timesheets, supervisor support, etc) including XERO, Biotime, MicroPay, ELMO, Safe AgAbility to become back up resource for completing peripheral payroll processes.Assist the Payroll team in the identification and improvement of payroll processes.Undertake other relevant tasks and projects to support human resources, payroll and operations functions.Support and develop SOP's relevant to the payroll, HR and operations domains to support continuous improvement and learning and development initiatives.Operations support & administration Provide strong administrative support, empowering team members to perform their jobs productively and efficientlyCommunicate all announcements, policy changes, and other relevant office information to team membersCreate and implement office and support processes designed to maximize efficiency andManage company-wide communications, such as memos, announcements, and invitationsGreet office visitors and callers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, answering any questions, and transferring callers to the appropriate lines and ensure that office visitors feel welcome and comfortableSupport staff as needed by completing various general administrative tasks, such as creating documents, proofreading, sending communications, and filingAbout You
You'll be joining a fast-paced team, bringing a "can-do" attitude and a willingness to take ownership of your work. You're a team player who can also work independently, with a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills. Ideally, you'll have:
3-4 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced setting.
Strong payroll experience Ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, whilst ensuring quality standards are maintainedHighly organised with a focus on attention to detailA solid understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and employment laws.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (highly beneficial).Experience with XERO, Micropay, Biotime or ELMO payroll systems (desirable).Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
