Payroll Officer on the lower North Shore of Sydney Your new company :
Join a support services organisation as a Payroll Officer, reporting to the Payroll Manager in the lower North Shore of Sydney. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to a high-functioning, supportive team - one that really values their staff!
Your new role : In this role, you will:
Coordinate and oversee the bi-weekly payroll process for 2000 employees. Handle end-to-end processing for additional payroll tasks as needed. Prepare and process additional payments, including reimbursements and training hours. Submit Long Service Leave lodgements. Process weekly PAYG payments. Manage monthly superannuation payments for salary sacrifice and employer contributions. Address and resolve issues related to employees' personal details, such as superannuation and bank information. Collaborate with the technology team to address platform and booking issues to ensure payroll accuracy. Update and review public holiday registers. Analyse monthly payments to ensure compliance with awards. Assist in developing policies and processes to improve team efficiency and user experience. Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll services. Apply knowledge and experience in disability services to support operations. What you'll need to succeed: Previous experience in end-to-end payroll within a large organisation that is geographically dispersed Ability to establish and maintain rapport with people at all levels of the business; be an advocate for payroll Previous experience in exceptional customer service skills such as empathy, transparency, and warmth Excellent listening, verbal, and written skills Knowledge of Excel to analyse large volumes of data Works with integrity and understands the importance of confidentiality Sound knowledge of Superannuation, Workers compensation, PAYG tax, the Australian Industrial Relations System and experience in Award and Employment Contract What you'll get in return :
