As a Payroll Officer you will be managing the end-to-end Payroll process for the Weekly and Fortnightly Payrolls across ANZ.This role offers a hybrid work setup and flexibility in working hours. However, you must be available to start early on Mondays at 7:30AM.What you'll doEnsure the payroll is processed in time with the payroll calendar and within SOX guidelines and ensuring separation of duties between Payroll and HR processes within the employee lifecycle.Gain a full understanding of end-to-end Payroll process as part of a Payroll Officer's development.Ensure a high level of accuracy as it pertains to payment of employee salary, wages, and relevant benefits / oncosts.Work with the People Operations team, business, and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data.Ensure the documentation of ANZ process as relates to payroll practices for the Waged employee pay groups.Maintain a high level of service to all customers (internal & external).Manage off-cycle payroll payments within the SOX guidelines and process all termination payments in line with statutory and company policy requirements.Frequently maintain accurate Payroll Database to documentation provided by relevant stakeholders.Frequently maintaining accurate Payroll Database to documentation provided by relevant stakeholders.Assist with the calculation and payment of all month end procedures e.g., Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Head count and HR Reporting requirement, GL queries and reconciliation, Company tax obligations as it relates to Payroll.Ad/hoc reporting and queries.Interpreting awards and agreementsConstantly look for opportunities to improve our processes in line with the changing needs of the business.What you'll bringAtleast 3-4 years of experience in a similar payroll positionManaged end to end payroll processes with accuracy and complianceKnowledge of Australian employment legislations and understanding of Awards and AgreementsKnowledge of New Zealand legislations would be favorableStrong attention to details coupled with high sense of urgencyStrong customer service and communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with people at all levels.Proficiency in payroll software and intermediate MS Excel skillsExposure to ADP is highly desirableWorking @ James HardieAt James Hardie, our people are at the centre of everything we do.
