In this role, you'll oversee our firm's internal payroll while also providing payroll services to our valued clients, gaining exposure to our diverse bookkeeping tasks and processes.

What will you do? Complete fortnightly payroll responsibilities for Walshs internal staff Complete fortnightly / monthly payroll responsibility for Walshs external clients Understand and interpret relevant awards and legislations to ensure the firm and its clients are compliant Ensure accurate payroll transactions and paymentsEnsure accurate set up of new employees for Walshs, and Walshs clientsEnsure accurate offboarding of Walshs staff, and staff for our clients as required Answer and manage payroll enquiries Manage Workcover renewals for Walshs and Walshs clients Assist our bookkeeping team with tasks such as super, IAS and workflow / job set ups General administration assistance for the firm, as required. What you need: Secondary Education required2+ year experience in a similar role requiredXero Advisor certified or willing to complete and current working experience in XeroExperienced in Xero payroll processing and STPKnowledge and understanding of BAS and IAS reporting is preferred but not required.Experience accessing and use of the ATO portalUnderstanding of SuperannuationIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communication Very organized and able to meet ongoing deadlines.
