About the role Right now, we are looking for a Payroll Officer to join the health and community payroll-team at PeopleIN.
This would be an initial 3 - 4-month contract at a fulltime capacity, with a potential of going permanent.
You will be responsible for; Calculation and interpretation of employee hours across several awards to be paid are completed accurately and efficiently Checking manual/automated timesheets to ensure accuracy of invoicing Deductions required from candidates payroll, which may include child support, Centrelink, union fees, overpayments, training etc.
Processing and confirmation of payroll to meet daily deadlines Collecting data / time sheets, ensuring they have been approved and exceptions verified.
Analyse payroll output to confirm authenticity Updating and maintaining employee records, including leave, training, enterprise agreements and other relevant documentation Administration of workers compensation payments and superannuation Calculate termination pays, pay adjustments, and leave accruals Resolving payroll queries and ensure payroll compliance About you To be successful in this role you will be a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business at all levels.

You will also have: Preferably have 2+ years experience as a payroll officer Ability to understand and interpret awards An aptitude for working with bulk data Strong written and verbal communication skills High competence with Microsoft Office and payroll systems Committed to you By joining the team, we will go all in on your career development.
