We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer/Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department in a permanent full-time capacity. This role works year round, with 4 weeks' of annual leave.
Key responsibilities will include: Assisting the Payroll Manager with the processing of bi-monthly payroll. This role also performs the full payroll function on rotation with the Payroll Manager.Preparation of monthly payroll reconciliation, conducting daily bank account reconciliations, and preparing and reconciling corporate credit card accounts, including posting journals.Assisting with the month-end process, which includes balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management, as well as supporting the annual audit and budget preparation.Assisting in the preparation of BAS (Business Activity Statements), serving as backup for the accounts receivable function, including tuition fee billing and debtor management, and providing backup support as directed or in the absence of Finance staff.Key skills and competencies: Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.Experience in Synergetic is an advantage.Bookkeeping and accounting experience.Ability to work to deadlines.Excellent organisational skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Education and Qualifications: A Bachelor of Business or Accounting Degree, or equivalent.Currently completing or a desire to complete CA/CPA qualification.To Apply: Please include a cover letter along with your resume.
