The role: We currently have vacancies for a Patient Services Officer to join our busy Administration Services Department at St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney.
This is a fast-paced position where you will provide administrative support and assistance to patients, relatives, visitors, doctors and hospital staff.
Successful candidates will be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the department to fulfill operational requirements.
This role will be on a part time basis rotating roster 5.30am - 9.30 pm 7 days a week.

Your skills and experience: Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of medical terminology (essential).
Excellent level of customer service and clinical care, within the philosophy, mission and values of St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney.
Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of privacy legislation, informed financial consent and health fund framework.
Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and capacity to record accurate and timely information.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to patient, visitors and staff from a range of backgrounds.
High level computer skills and experience with Patient Management Systems, ideally WebPAS.
Strong committed team player with ability to work autonomously.
Commitment to continued professional development.
Experience either in a health/medical administration role is highly desired.
