You will work in a supportive team environment in collaboration with the other members of the pastoral care team, multi-disciplinary clinical teams and various faith traditions in the local area.
You will be a member of the care team in the delivery of services to residents and their family members and your primary focus is to ensure that the diverse pastoral and spiritual needs of residents, their families and staff are identified and responded to.

Calvary St Josephs is home to 135 residents and offers a dementia secure unit, an ethno-specific unit, respite accommodation services and independent living.
Your main duties will include: Assist the resident in one on one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan.Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.About you Recent experience working in a pastoral care role in either aged care, health care or community settings.A relevant qualification in clinical pastoral education (CPE), pastoral counselling or equivalent.Demonstrated understanding of and experience working in a multidisciplinary team.Highly effective interpersonal skills in working with vulnerable people.Understanding of the pastoral and spiritual needs of residents living in a residential aged care setting.Demonstrated ability to undertake spiritual assessments and care plans.Demonstrated capacity for reflective practice.Understanding of various faith traditions including mainstream Christian denominations.Demonstrated ability to prepare and lead meaningful rituals and celebrations including prayer and/or partner with faith representatives to provide same.Why work for Calvary?
