Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Passive Fire Installer with expertise in passive fire penetrations. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining firestopping systems in building penetrations to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. You will work on a variety of commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect, seal, and maintain passive fire protection systems, including firestopping solutions in wall and floor penetrations (pipes, cables, ducts, etc.).Interpret fire protection drawings and specifications to guarantee the correct application of passive fire barriers and seals in penetrations.Conduct regular inspections of installed passive fire protection systems to ensure their integrity and compliance with fire safety standards.Apply appropriate fire-rated materials to various types of penetrations to prevent fire and smoke passage.Work closely with project managers, architects, and other contractors to meet deadlines and ensure quality installation.Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations while on-site.Provide guidance and training to junior staff and assist with project supervision when needed.Maintain detailed records of installations and inspections for future reference and compliance audits.Qualifications: Proven experience as a Passive Fire Installer, specifically in the installation and maintenance of firestopping systems in penetrations.In-depth knowledge of passive fire protection systems, building codes, and fire safety standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Valid White card and relevant industry certifications.Previous experience working with penetration seals, fire collars, and fire-rated intumescent products is essential.What's in it for you?
