About the Job We are seeking two energetic Part-time Pet Care & Animal Attendants to join a passionate team of animal-lovers at our Melbourne Pet Hotel located in Tullamarine, VIC.
These are PERMANENT PART-TIME roles required to work 2 to 3, 7.6 hour shifts per week (15.2 - 22.8 hours per week). With the opportunity to flex up to 38 hours per week during peak periods. Shifts will be offered between 6am - 7pm. Successful candidates must be available to work weekends, public holidays & school holidays. The key accountabilities of these roles will include animal welfare, cleaning and customer service. Being responsible for the quality of pet welfare and providing care for both boarding pet guests and doggy daycare guests which includes cleaning kennels, feeding pets, basic washing/grooming and exercising of pets. Our Pet Care & Animal Attendants also provide excellent customer service when engaging with our clients at pick up and drop off.
About You You are reliable, motivated and experienced in caring for animals, with genuine affection for cats and dogs.

Available for rotating rostered shifts, and have the flexibility to cover other unplanned absences at short notice.Prepared to jump at the chance to help others in your team.Able to work at a brisk pace and carry out tasks to required timeframes.Able to work independently, and willing to ask for guidance for more complex matters.Passionate about companion animals.A good communicator and positive person who enjoys teamwork.Ideally you've completed certifications in animal studies and/or companion animal services.Experienced working in vet clinics, doggy daycares, kennels or catteries.Committed to working safely, and following Standard Operating Procedures.Willing and able to adhere to Hanrob Pet Hotels' operating procedures and work health and safety requirements at all times.IMPORTANT: This is an active and physical role working across the Pet Hotel. In addition to office-based work, the incumbent will be required to work indoors and outdoors (sometimes in inclement weather conditions, and in close proximity to cats and dogs, on their feet for a significant portion of their day. They must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, reach, stretch, and restrain animals up to 50kg on leads, communicate, speak, and interact with team members, customers, internal and external stakeholders, and members of the public in person, over the phone, and online, and occasionally take difficult conversations, including providing critical feedback and receiving complaints, in order to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
