About the Role
The Parks and Gardens team are responsible for the care, management and operation of a comprehensive network of public open space and recreational areas which have been established for active and passive recreation for the community and the preservation of the natural features of landscape and environment along the Sunshine Coast, largely within the urban environment.
As a Parks Cleaner/Operator you will perform a broad range of tasks, requiring development of industry skills, with such tasks to be performed under general supervision by the Parks Leader Cleaning Services.
About you
As someone passionate about serving the community and the outdoors you will bring a high level of energy to the position. You are a team player, eager to join a high-performing team, utilising your strong problem-solving abilities to complete all tasks within set timeframes.
As a Parks Cleaner/Operator you will be performing in a hands-on role in the effective and efficient delivery of cleaning services, assisting in the cleaning of public conveniences, BBQ's, street-cleaning and associated Parks Infrastructure.
You will be responsible for beach litter collection, roadside litter and debris removal and the cleaning of parks and other Council assets.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess a current "C" Class drivers license and be immunised against Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus is essential.
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
