We are an award-winning national law firm that specialises in property, development, commercial law, and strata and community titles. Our Sydney practice is looking for an experienced paralegal to join our team.
You will be supporting a small and collaborative team of lawyers and will work with industry-leading property developers, property investors and strata stakeholders.
The role is full time and based in our brand new Sydney office at 77 King Street (the Apple building).
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will support our team who provide property-related advisory work and property litigation, across a range of issues such as development, by-laws, debt collection, off the plan conveyancing and general property advisory work. The work will be wide-ranging and includes:
Assisting with development work, including drafting contracts for sale, by-laws and titling documentsPreparing by-law consolidationsOrganising and keeping up to date document precedentsWorking with the disputes team on litigation matters, including preparing court documents, putting together briefs and exhibitsAssisting with our developer off the plan conveyancing practice (conveyancing experience is plus but not essential)Conducting online searches such as title and company searchesAssisting with preparing fee proposals;Assisting our execute assistant with end of month billing (if needed);Other general administrative duties as directed by the legal staff.There is scope to grow in this role, including to find 'your level'. PackageAn attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate. Along with a competitive base salary, our fee earners are also offered an incentive based on billable targets in accordance with our Staff Incentive Program.
