We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Superintendent to join our team in Fremantle, WA, on a fixed-term full-time basis (Monday to Friday) until March 2026, following an internal secondment. In this role, you will work closely with our Port Managers to oversee the daily operations of our crew and vessels across the harbour towage operations in Albany, Bunbury, and Geraldton.

What You Will Do Reporting to the Port Manager based in Fremantle, your key responsibilities will include:
Acting as the first point of contact between local management and crew, providing leadership and support to drive team engagement.Assisting with crew roster management in alignment with enterprise agreements and port operating procedures.Liaising with relevant port authorities and regional statutory bodies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.Leading investigations into incidents and near misses in collaboration with the Health & Safety team, ensuring a safe work environment.Supporting the Technical Superintendent in managing vessel maintenance and repairs, including the preparation of specifications, reports, and coordination of supplies and spare parts.Participating in internal and external audits of vessels and offices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and cultural change.Assisting the Port Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and the review and optimisation of operational costs.What You Will Need To Succeed To thrive in this role, you should demonstrate:
