Directly SupervisesProject engineering team, field and workshop teamsDirectly Reports ToOperations ManagerInternal RelationshipsGlobal Operations Leads, Design Engineering, QHSE, COOExternal RelationshipsMain ResponsibilitiesWorkshop Management:Oversee day-to-day activities in the workshop, ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of tasks.Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance workshop efficiency.Collaborate with the procurement team to maintain adequate inventory levels of equipment and materials.Field Team Coordination:Manage and coordinate field teams to execute projects efficiently.Monitor field operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols, project timelines, and quality standards.Implement strategies to optimize field team productivity and performance.Training and Development:Develop and execute training programs for both workshop and field teams to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.Assess training needs and create a continuous learning environment to improve team capabilities.Collaborate with HR to identify and address skill gaps through targeted training initiatives.Project Engineering Support:Work closely with project engineers to ensure seamless execution of engineering projects.Provide technical guidance and support to project engineering teams.Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful project completion.Performance Analysis and Reporting:Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the performance of workshop, field teams, and projects.Generate regular reports on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.Resource Management:Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast resource requirements for upcoming projects.Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities:To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported to the QHSE team.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.Proven experience in operations management, with a focus on workshops, field teams, and project engineering.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client interactions.Project management certification is a plus.Personal QualitiesPossess excellent management skills.Possess excellent communication skills.Good mechanical aptitude.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Ability to motivate self and others.Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and effective solution to STATS clients and customers.Ability to meet and exceed client expectations.The ability to work under pressure whilst achieving maximum productivity, safety and cost effectiveness.Additional Note:STATS is an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment for all employees, enabling us to deliver our company objectives together.
