Moranbah, Mackay & Coalfields QLD, Australia Full-time $200k + vehicle ABOUT THE ROLE 3BB, a newly formed Barada Barna Traditional owned mining services business operating in the Bowen Basin, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team in Moranbah. Our mission is to build community capability, develop skills, and support our expanding client base. As the Operations Manager, you will ensure all projects are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and effectively, meeting all client, HSE, quality, time, budget, and contractual requirements. You will also drive business development, provide strong team leadership, and align workforce performance with 3BB's values and culture.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify and pursue sustainable business opportunities to expand our project portfolio and services.Team Communication and Leadership: Clearly communicate departmental direction, fostering a unified, high-performance team.Operational Management: Oversee and support all departmental activities, ensuring project success.Key Contact: Serve as the primary contact for all departmental works, both internally and externally.Resource Utilisation: Optimize human resources, procurement, plant, and equipment for efficient project delivery.Preparation for Upcoming Works: Ensure readiness of plant, equipment, tooling, and personnel for upcoming projects.Operational Processes: Implement control processes to achieve project objectives.Project Team Leadership: Guide project teams to complete projects according to standards and procedures.Project Control: Manage project programming, revenue, claims, cost, quality, procurement, contracts, supervision, site administration, and subcontractor activities.Construction Planning: Develop and monitor construction plans, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality, and cost estimates.Contract Management: Handle commercial contract requirements, variations, and liaise with clients and contract administrators.Financial Oversight: Review contract budgets, conduct cash flow forecasting, and approve invoices.Estimation Support: Support the estimation team in meeting client and contractual requirements.Tender Management: Lead and manage the preparation, submission, and follow-up of tenders to secure new business opportunities.Claims Preparation: Prepare, submit, and manage claims related to tenders and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.Reporting Requirement: Implement a reporting system for regular project updates and present comprehensive reports to senior management.What We Offer: Competitive salary of $200,000 plus (commensurate with experience)Company-provided vehicleABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will need:
