The Role
As our Venue Manager, you'll be at the helm of our operations, ensuring that every guest experience reflects the high standards Polperro is known for. This role requires more than management—it's about leadership, creativity, and a deep passion for wine and fine dining.
Key Responsibilities
Inspire and lead a talented team of hospitality professionals.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and outstanding guest experiences.
Collaborate with our chefs, winemakers, and farmers to craft a cohesive, extraordinary dining journey.
Drive commercial success by building a strong sales culture and achieving revenue goals.
Manage venue logistics, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and inventory.
Foster relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the broader community.
Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of Polperro as part of the senior leadership team.
Bring sommelier-level wine knowledge and enthusiasm, ensuring that our wine program remains a cornerstone of the Polperro experience.
About You
You're a hospitality professional with a passion for excellence and a deep understanding of the industry. Your leadership skills are second to none, and you have a proven track record of managing high-end venues. A deep love for wine, backed by sommelier-level knowledge, is essential.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
3-5 years of venue management experience, with a focus on luxury or fine dining.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Strong organisational abilities with an eye for detail.
Comprehensive wine knowledge at the sommelier level, with a passion for food and beverage.
Flexibility to work during our operational hours: Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, with one evening service per week.
