They are invested in irrigated & dryland cropping enterprises in some of the most productive land in NSW's northern wheatbelt of rich black soil plains. Well regarded in the local area and actively at the forefront of technology, they work closely with supplier companies involved in testing new varieties and cropping systems. The Role Due to impending retirement, there is now the requirement for an Operations Manager to come in and lead the cropping operations across their Moree properties. Reporting to the Aggregation Manager, you will be responsible for assisting develop, and implementing plans in an efficient and timely manner to drive business growth. This includes: Day to day management of all cropping operationsStaff and contractor managementWorking closely with agronomy consultantsManage budgets, cost control and maintain recordsMonitor industry developments and regulations Day to day management of all cropping operationsStaff and contractor managementWorking closely with agronomy consultantsManage budgets, cost control and maintain recordsMonitor industry developments and regulationsThe Person To be successful in this practical role you will have: 5+ years experience in 2IC or management capacity of a cropping operationExperience in either irrigated or dryland crop productionAbility to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholdersAgronomy knowledge 5+ years experience in 2IC or management capacity of a cropping operationExperience in either irrigated or dryland crop productionProven people management skillsAbility to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholdersAgronomy knowledgeCome and join a highly successful family-owned farming operation involved at the forefront of new ideas, technology, innovation and research. Having experienced droughts and difficult times, along with the exciting boom times in agriculture, you are experienced enough to deal with the climatic and market changes.
