Operations Coordinator (fixed term contract) As one of the largest private bus operators across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, CDC Victoria is in the business of "Linking People, Places and Communities".
With a fleet of 500 buses and coaches, we employ over 1000 staff from 80 diverse nations, and operate out of 8 depots – in Ballarat, Geelong, Mildura and Broken Hill, Oakleigh, Sunshine, Tullamarine and Wyndham, which incorporates our Head Office.
We serve the community by providing essential public transport and offering reliable charter services to schools, sporting groups and other recreational groups within Victoria.
The Role: We are in search of an Operations Coordinator to assist in overseeing our operations and bus depot located in Mildura.
This is a full-time 12-month fixed term contract position.
The Operations Coordinator plays an integral role in ensuring we meet our public transport, school and charter contract requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess a proven history of effectively engaging with and managing drivers within the transportation industry.
Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for: Coordination of all bus operations, including route, school and charter services; Generation and maintenance of rosters that are compliant with relevant legislation; Overseeing, and processing, weekly payroll for operational staff; Assisting with the investigation of accidents, and the finalisation of any claims arising; End to end handling of customer complaints; Liaising with external stakeholders, including schools, councils and government authorities.
To excel in this role, you will have: Demonstrated prior experience in transport or related industry; Demonstrated 'hands-on' leadership and people management skills; Understanding of, and a commitment to, a safe, compliant working culture; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Comprehensive computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Word and Excel software; An understanding of the Bus Safety Act, and Bus Safety Regulations.
