Sunlover Reef Cruises travels daily from Cairns, via Fitzroy Island to Moore Reef on the beautiful Great Barrier Reef.
We offer a complete reef tourism experience, with an award-winning team providing glass bottom and semi-submersible boat tours, guided snorkelling interpretive tours, introductory and certified diving, seawalker helmet diving, and helicopter reef scenic flights.
Sunlover is seeking an Operations and Dive Supervisor to manage, lead the dive team, and support the Operation and Engineering Departments. The Operations and Dive Supervisor plays a critical role in both the smooth running of operations and ensuring safety remains the top priority in the conduct of any activities – both above and below water. The position is full-time working Sunday through to Thursday.
Duties include:
Effective management and supervision of dive team and equipment. Provide dive and customer service with the highest standards of safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Ongoing promotion and upselling of dive operations, continuously striving for higher dive sales. Report all aspects of dive and vessel operations to the Operations Manager both orally and in writing, in a timely manner. Oversee dive safety, including keeping up to date with, and ensuring adherence to relevant legislative requirements and company policy. Ensure all required paperwork/documents are completed and filed accordingly. Report all achievements and potential issues to the Head of Engineering and Operations. Provide training for new staff when required. The successful candidate should be approachable in all situations and flexible to support the operations and engineering team from time to time upon demand. We are seeking someone who is confident in a leadership role with knowledge of dive operations and regulations. Essential qualifications are PADI OWSI with a minimum of 3 years and a current First Aid Certificate.
We expect our team to have a high level of grooming and presentation as you will be a role model for other staff and also interact closely with our local, domestic, and international passengers.
