About the role We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Oilseeds Trader to join our team in Milton.
The role involves managing trading operations in line with Company directives and legal standards, overseeing trade execution and administration, and identifying new market opportunities to drive business growth.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics, enabling them to develop effective accumulation and trading strategies.
This position reports to the Commodities Manager and will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our trading activities.
Your key responsibilities: Direct and manage trading activities, ensuring strict compliance with company directives, position limits, and legal standards.Oversee trade execution and administration, including negotiating terms, monitoring contract performance, and resolving any contract-related issues.Develop and implement trading strategies based on in-depth market analysis, leveraging insights from cash and futures markets.Manage counterparty risk, assessing and monitoring the creditworthiness of trading partners in line with company credit policies.Collaborate with the Commodities team and other stakeholders to optimise supply chain and identify procurement opportunities.Our Ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of 5 years experience in commodities trading, with a strong track record of successful trading operations.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (highly regarded).Proven ability to formulate and execute strategies across the Australian domestic and export oilseed market.Experience in risk management, with a focus on counterparty risk and regulatory compliance.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various levels.Proficiency in trading platforms and market analysis tools, with advanced data analysis skills.Why Join Riverina?
