As the Office Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sleep lab, ensuring efficient workflow, and providing exceptional patient care.
This role involves managing staff, coordinating appointments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and NATA, while also contributing to the overall success of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities: Administrative Oversight:Oversee the day to day functioning of work teams, scheduling of patients and sleep studies.Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with regulations.Prepare and manage budgets, including monitoring expenditures and financial reporting.Staff Management:Supervise and arrange training for laboratory staff, including technologists and administrative personnel.Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate staff development initiatives.Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.Ensure a positive patient experience by maintaining a welcoming and organised environment.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure that the laboratory adheres to all applicable regulations and accreditation standards.Assist in preparing for inspections and audits.Quality Assurance:Implement and monitor quality control measures to enhance service delivery and patient safety.Analyse data and prepare reports on laboratory performance metrics.Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.Liaise with insurance companies for pre-authorizations and claims processing.Qualifications: Education:Diploma level qualification or above in business management, or a related field preferred.Experience:Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Experience in a sleep medicine or related specialty is highly desirable.Skills:Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and office management software.Certifications:Certification in sleep technology (e.g., RST, CRT) or healthcare administration is a plus.This is a part time position of 30 hours per week in a clinical setting.
