About the role As the Occupational Therapist Assistant for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will join our growing clinical team in Medequip's Community Equipment Services (CES). We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant / Assistant Practitioner to provide advice and support to prescribers, operational staff in the depot, and the community. Working with an OT, in our depot, you will use your equipment knowledge to support best practice within the community equipment service and support developments in the service.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
You will work with the depot OT, referrers, suppliers, and operational teams to deliver a person-centred Community Equipment Service that helps individuals access the right equipment to support their needs at the right time.Providing support and advice to referrers into the Service and colleagues within the Service in order to maximise the recycling of special equipment, including review of Special orders.To support the depot OT with training and demonstration sessions according to the needs of the contract.To work alongside depot colleagues to help resolve issues and ensure a seamless service.Joint working with colleagues to ensure Catalogue systems and accurate information are in place to maximise utilisation and ensure best value for money.Participate in local and national projects, supporting the development of best practice for the service.Contribute to the financial delivery of the service ensuring it is cost effective and help compile reports, including detailing the demand and savings produced by recycling special equipment.About you Above all, you will identify and align with our company values:
