The role: The Nurse Unit Manager – Surgical Outpatient Services Provides leadership to the Surgical Outpatient Services, Launceston General Hospital.
Ensures the efficient and effective provision of outpatient care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within the Surgical Outpatient Services.
Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material and financial resources for service delivery within the Surgical Outpatient Services, Launceston General Hospital.

The Area: The LGH Department of Surgical and Perioperative Services provide high quality, consumer centred care in an environment where teamwork and excellence is expected.
The role of Nurse Unit Manager - Surgical Outpatients is a newly created position that will provide opportunities to build a service and a team that supports access to care for the community of Northern Tasmania.
The surgical team works within a strong interdisciplinary framework providing opportunities for professional collaboration.

Details of Appointment: Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 22 September 2024 until 30 June 2025.Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary:

$118,801 - $125,301 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
