Join Our Team as a Nurse Unit Manager at Limestone Coast Local Health Network! As the Nurse Unit Manager in Aged Care, you will leverage your clinical knowledge and experience to coordinate patient/client care delivery within a Health Unit or Community Service. Your primary focus will be on line management, coordination, and leadership of nursing/midwifery and multi-disciplinary team activities, ensuring continuity and high quality of patient/client care and outcomes.
In this role, you will take accountability for the outcomes of nursing/midwifery practices and multidisciplinary initiatives. You will address any discrepancies between practice and policy while fostering team performance and cultivating a positive work culture that prioritizes exceptional patient/client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Evidence-Based Decision Making: Integrate contemporary information and personal experience to enhance decision-making, innovative thinking, and objective analysis. Your expert clinical knowledge will inform your ability to lead clinical services and management activities, optimizing nursing and midwifery care.Leadership & Coordination: Provide pivotal leadership and coordination in delivering patient/client care within a designated ward, unit, service, or program. Ensure continuity and quality of care, improve patient outcomes, and facilitate efficient patient flow.What We're Looking For: Nursing/Midwifery Registration: Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practicing certificate.Experience: At least 3 years of post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife.Clinical Competence: Demonstrated expertise in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice, adhering to applicable standards.Leadership Experience: Proven experience in management and leadership roles.Supervisory Skills: Experience supervising students, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives.Why Join Us?
