The Nurse Unit Manager position provides innovative leadership and management of the Nautilus Memory Support unit of Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility. The position is responsible for the clinical, resource management, education and research accountabilities of nursing within the unit, ensuring the delivery of best practice and quality resident care.
Eligible health workers who make the move to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under Scheme 2 of the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).

Generous remuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $132,562 to $143,924 p.a. The Ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Proven ability to provide expert nursing leadership and coordination within a residential aged care environment.Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.Ability to integrate the strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework.Demonstrated advanced leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and change management skills to ensure customer focused service provision amongst the multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated high level of communication skills required for problem solving and decision making.Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position.Proven ability to develop and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for aged care nursing services.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.Possess a C motor vehicle licence.Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
