(Pro Rata) RN/M3 | Full time – OngoingCome join the team in Gynaecology Oncology as a Nurse ConsultantThe gynaecology oncology service cares for women with confirmed or suspected gynaecological cancer, offering consultation and support to the general gynaecology service, general practitioners and private clinicians through a multi-disciplinary approach. Referrals are received from both private and public clinicians.About the role:Reporting to the Head of Gynaecology Oncology services, in this role you will provide clinical nursing/midwifery expertise for specified Gynaecology Oncology patients in collaboration with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals. You will provide clinical leadership for an area of Gynaecology oncology and may work in a variety of clinical settings. Duties for the role will include:Provide direct, expert clinical nursing care, select, and implement different therapeutic interventions, provide individual case management to a defined population of patients/clients, and evaluate progress.Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of corporate policies and processes and lead in your area of expertise.Hold a contemporary professional practice portfolio containing evidence of postgraduate qualifications, learning, and practice experience that underpin your expertise.Provide leadership and direction, act as a role model, mentor, consultant, and resource person.Contribute to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.About you:Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience.Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.Want To Know More?
