NDIA EL2 Program Director (Affirmative Measures – Disability) Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability.
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare.
As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.
The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability.

The NDIA is seeking experienced leaders to join the Agency as EL2 Program Director in the First Nations Group.
The First Nations Group takes the lead in the NDIA's efforts to enhance access and outcomes for First Nations people with disabilities.
Together, our Group facilitates a culturally safe Agency and scheme, driven by First Nations leadership and tailored to the unique needs of First Nations peoples with disability.

Where you can add value Program Directors lead transformative change in the disability sector by influencing policies, systems, and practices to achieve positive and meaningful outcomes for First Nations communities throughout Australia.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Leading the facilitation of culturally safe environments for First Nations peoples and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
Building and maintaining relationships with First Nations communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to manage successful project and/or policy development and implementation.
Identifying and driving business improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and performance of outcomes for First Nations peoples.
Leading teams to deliver high-quality projects and policy initiatives, ensuring timely preparation and submission of accurate reports and briefs.

This position requires strong skills in policy development and/or project management, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity; however, non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
