One of the world's largest freight & transportation services is now looking for a grounded & skilled National Security Manager for one of its busiest sites. This role is key to the function of the overall day-to-day operations of the business. This role is not your typical security gig; if you are looking for a challenging but impactful role, this is the one!
Your new role:

Building security – in addition to alarm systems, site physical security is managed using the latest techniques for preventing entry to sites when unoccupied (Use of barriers, locks, and cages, etc.).Responsibility to support finance team with effectively setting provisions in place for security and establishing an all-encompassing budget.Ensure each site strategically plans around security infrastructure implementation and stays within their budgeted spend.Ensure conformance to the Customers Security requirements and undertake regular review and management of the issues/compliance.Develop strategic plans for team activities, which is to include security strategy to achieve agreed targets and effective planning.Provide the business with an effective security solution to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to facilities. Security recordings of high-value assets and inventory are kept to provide assistance where loss or stock discrepancies occur.Ensure there are effective systems/process in place for the organization to be agile and respond rapidly to any incident – using up-to-date sensors and alarm systems. Lead the liaison with external authorities e.g., State-based Police Services.About You!

Minimum Diploma in Security & Risk Management required and qualifications and/or experience in health and safety is desirable.Demonstrated experience working in a security management role within the logistics or warehousing industry.Demonstrated experience in relevant security systems and programs, e.g., guard force, access control, CCTV, etc.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in developing and mentoring teams for high performance.Ability to analyze and interpret performance data to in turn, report in clear and concise reports for client reporting and continual improvement.Advanced Customer service skills and mindset are essential.TAPA audit qualification.What's on offer?This role is an awesome opportunity for a well-experienced security professional who wants to take their career more seriously and work for one of the best organizations in the world.
