National Director - IT Partnerships and InnovationThe Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) is the national agency responsible for administering the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (National Scheme) in partnership with 15 National Boards for the regulated health professions.
The National Director, IT Partnerships and Innovation reports to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and serves as a key member of the Technology Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
This strategic role is pivotal in managing Ahpra's information technology contract portfolio, ensuring optimal value and commercial viability in partnerships with IT service delivery partners.
The National Director, IT Partnerships and Innovation develops and implements comprehensive business strategies and executable plans aimed at maximising value-for-money across all IT contracts.
This involves analysing market trends, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong relationships with service providers to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Lead the establishment and implementation of strategies, programs, and processes to build Ahpra's IT Commercial capabilities.Manage the full lifecycle of vendor procurement, including contract negotiation and relationship management with technology vendors and delivery partners.Produce comprehensive IT performance reports and ensure compliance with organisational standards while monitoring emerging government and industry regulations.Develop and maintain a register of operational and strategic risks, providing regular reporting on risk controls, and drive change management initiatives to foster continuous improvement.Lead a team of specialists, promoting a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, coaching, and professional development to achieve organisational goals.What we offer: Work/life balance with the flexibility to work both in the office (40%) and at home (60%)– the best of both worlds.A friendly and supportive working culture.Discounted health insurance with Medibank Private.Sophisticated open plan work spaces in a central location.Some interstate travel will be required.To apply: Click 'Apply for this job' to submit your application.
