About the role We are looking for a National Category Manager to join the supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis. Elders is looking for a National Category Manager for its expanded Crop Protection category, the largest within Rural Products. This role will oversee all aspects of sourcing and supplying broadacre products, managing a team to drive value and benefits across the category. As the National Category Manager, you will build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage the core product range while collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure strategy adoption and effective communication throughout the Elders network.
Responsibilities Implement and manage a supplier relationship framework, conducting regular reviews to enhance value for Elders.Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and LTIs, providing detailed reports to management and suppliers.Gather and analyse demand planning information to inform strategic planning and core product ranges.Lead the project management of new product line implementations in collaboration with the Elders Network.Motivate and manage the team to exceed branch business plan expectations.Ensure compliance with all Elders' people leadership processes and policies.About You Extensive experience in agribusiness sales, operations, or marketing, with a solid understanding of agricultural supply chains.Strong background in retail distribution, inventory management, and business planning, including KPI tracking.Proficient in MS Office and AS400, with intermediate computer literacy skills.Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Business Management (desirable).Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to leadership and stakeholder management.Committed to safety, with a proactive attitude towards compliance with quality and environmental standards.Results-oriented, with strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.Motivated to develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.About Elders As a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
