About the role The Campus Logistics Cluster Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating safe and efficient day-to-day logistics across multiple TAFE SA campuses. This role includes the oversight of essential property services, such as cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, minor repairs, and fleet management. It also manages the receiving and distribution of supplies, ensuring that campus facilities are well-maintained and fully operational. The position supports spatial efficiency initiatives and compliance with on-campus event logistics, while also coordinating campus closures when required.
In addition, the Campus Logistics Cluster Lead provides staff management, including site inductions and hazard identification, upholding Work Health and Safety standards across all facilities operations. The role is pivotal in delivering a safe and welcoming campus environment, with a strong focus on operational excellence and resource efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Facilities Coordination: Manage daily property services, including cleaning, grounds upkeep, and minor maintenance tasks.Fleet and Inventory Management: Oversee fleet operations and the efficient distribution of goods and supplies.Staff Leadership: Lead and support campus logistics staff, providing training, induction, and performance management.Event Support: Assist in event logistics and compliance, ensuring smooth and safe on-campus events.Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency responses, including campus closures when necessary.Key Selection Criteria: Proven expertise in facilities management, WHS regulations, and customer-focused service.Strong leadership skills, with experience in staff supervision and task delegation.High-level communication abilities to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Out of hours work will be required.Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.Eligibility to work in Australia.Application Instructions
