Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three regional delivery consortia providing services under Sydney Water's Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water's North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.
THE ROLE Due to significant growth, we have two opportunities for MPM Project Engineers. One is for our Networks Infrastructure Team (based in Chatswood) and one will join our team at North Head Manly. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Project Manager, and as part of an integrated Maintenance team, you will manage, control, report and forecast on all elements of the MPM program delivery inclusive of safety, quality, schedule, costs and compensation events against approved budgets whilst driving a culture of delivering customer and shareholder value. We are seeking a Problem Solver with a Mechanical background to liaise with our Stakeholder, Sydney Water, on small to medium maintenance projects. To be successful in this role you will have experience in creating scope and cost estimates for projects and reporting on billing and scheduling against budget and forecast.
ABOUT YOU Relevant Mechanical Project Engineering experience in Utilities is advantageous. 8-10 years experience in the mechanical field - preferably in water. Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline is preferred - but not essential. Experienced in creating scope and cost estimates for projects and reporting on billing and scheduling against budget and forecast. Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
