The focus of the role will be in managing costs and improving efficiencies while maintaining a high level of customer service, analysing data and identifying concerns and areas for improvement, continuously looking at ways to innovate.
Your roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Plan and supervise daily deliveries for a fleet of approximately 40 driversMaintain a solid relationship with all our driversEnsure all drivers sort and load in a timely and safe manner to ensure a prompt departureMonitor overall driver performance and ensure compliance of all policies and proceduresManage new driver induction process, ongoing training and assessmentRespond to daily transport enquiries from internal teams and customers in an efficient and effective mannerProactively identify transport operational issues, potential problems and opportunities, and determine corrective actions where requiredBuild and foster successful business relationships with key stakeholdersPre-empt seasonal increases in volume and adapt to sudden spikesBe able to implement change with limited disruptionMonitor transport budget to ensure costs are effectively controlledReport on transport division activities and results for Management reporting purposesEnsure drivers comply with Company OH&S policies and procedures with a safety first mindsetThis role is Monday to Friday, 4:00am – 12:00pm, however flexibility required. More about you To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of store people in a busy warehouse environment that deals with fast moving products at high volume.
You will display the following attributes:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Transport industryDemonstrated experience in fleet management and transport allocation in a high-volume and fast paced customer service environmentStrong awareness of Safety and Fatigue ManagementExtensive knowledge of Sydney metro areaA current Forklift licence is not essential but highly preferableMore about COS When you join COS you'll be working for a growing business servicing many of Australia's most well recognised companies and government agencies.
