ABOUT GEMCO Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production.
Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

As the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor (Heavy Vehicles), you will be responsible for leading a mobile maintenance crew and ensuring maintenance activities on the mobile equipment fleet are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:  Ensure maintenance teams adhere to safety standards and work procedures Lead and manage resource planning and scheduling for maintenance activities Supervise field operations to meet performance targets Promote best practices in SAP work management processes ABOUT YOU  You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: Prior experience in a similar role gained within the mining industry Working knowledge of mining maintenance activities, operations, and the maintenance of Caterpillar, Hitachi, Sandvik mobile equipment Demonstrated capability to successfully lead a team, drive safety, and performance manage Qualifications for this position are:  Relevant and recognised trade or tertiary qualification Mining/Site Supervisor competency G1, G8, G9 (or willing to obtain) Current manual drivers' licence South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
