Mining - Exploration & Geoscience (Mining, Resources & Energy)Our client is a leading intermediate gold producer with diversified operations throughout Western Australia. On their behalf, MPI are seeking an Underground Mine Geologist to join their geology team on a permanent basis.About the role:Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Project Geologists with the below duties.Key responsibilities:Ore drive development mapping and direction control.Ensure ore is extracted to maximise recovery and minimise ore loss and dilution.Assist with monitoring, sampling and logging of grade control drilling programs to accurately delineate the orebody ahead of mining.Core logging, core processing and data entry.Assist in the entry of production data and the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.Assist with training Geological Technicians.To be successful, you must have:Tertiary qualifications in GeologyMinimum 1+ years' post graduate experiencePrevious experience with gold and copper depositsSoftware experience using Vulcan (or similar) is desirableExcellent interpersonal skills and a team playerC class manual WA driver's licenceAble to pass a medical and drug/alcohol screening.This role offers an opportunity for a Mine Geologist to join a successful gold producer at a long-life operation. This is a permanent position, 2/2 roster FIFO from Perth.
