The Mental Health Clinician in the Acute Care Team (ACT), Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) provides triage, assessment and consultation liaison for all consumers referred to ACT. The position will be required to work in both community and The Townsville Hospital Emergency Department environments.
The position will be required to work collaboratively with consumers and multidisciplinary professionals to provide mental health assessment, intervention and consultation, mobile crisis response, and case management duties as required in accordance with professional standards and legislation consistent with the 10 Year Mental Health Strategy for Queensland and the National Standards for Mental Health Services in the Mental Health Acute Care Team.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Ability to provide triage and assessment of mental health conditions and risk.Ability to provide treatment options based on evidence-based practice.Provision of care which is patient-centred and involves family and carers.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $128,706 p.a. comprising:Salary range of $2941.70 to $4323.80 p.f. or $38.70 to $56.89 p.h. Role Requirements: Proof of qualification (Occupational Therapy or Psychology or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Possession of class C drivers' licence.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
