About the General Practice
Our client, Medical HQ, is an independently owned South Australian General Practice whose history stretches back to 1919 with a focus on exceptional patient care. They have a wonderful group of staff and a friendly work atmosphere.
About the Role We are looking for an exceptional medical receptionist to join our valuable team, working across both our Glynde and Athelstone locations in Eastern Adelaide. This is a casual position with a minimum of 24 hours per week, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be able to work a variety of rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends on occasion. About You We are looking for someone who values customer service, works well in a team setting, is motivated, and eager to learn and succeed. No two days are alike.
The job entails greeting patients as they enter the clinic, answering phones, scheduling appointments, accepting payments, and assisting Doctors and the administrative team.
Essential Criteria Ability to communicate compassionately and professionally with patients and their familiesConfident and energisedDependable and professionalExcellent communication skills, including a friendly and professional phone mannerThe ability to establish rapport with patients and doctors.Ability to work independently or as part of a teamFirst Aid training is required, or the willingness to obtain a first aid certificate and CPR training.Fundamental computer skills (must be able to use most Microsoft Office programs)An eagerness to learnPrevious medical reception is preferred but not requiredProficiency in Best Practice software is an advantageBe available to cover shifts due to sick leave and annual leaveA current Police Check We offer a supportive work environment, competitive salary, and benefits including the ability to maximise your earnings by salary packaging.
