Medical Administration Assistant

We have a diverse and exciting opportunity for a vibrant and enthusiastic Medical Administration Assistant to join our specialist practice within walking distance of Bowen Hills train station. 
The position will support our group of highly-regarded Neurosurgeons and Orthopaedic Surgeons. Duties will include both face-to-face interaction with patients in a clinic environment, and also administrative duties in the back-of-house office, to provide quality care to our wide range of patients.
This is a permanent full time position working during operating hours Monday to Friday. Working collectively with our other administration staff, the position requires the successful candidate to work as part of a team setting as well as autonomously to ensure the smooth day to day running of our practice.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Day to day preparation and running of consultation clinics Arranging patient bookings and organising follow-up appointmentsLiaising with specialists, hospitals, health funds, and other specialties.Maintaining accurate patient records and filingDiary managementPreparing and receipting patient accounts, including bankingGeneral office duties including scanning/data entry/printing/mailAnswering and transferring incoming calls to the appropriate people.To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/attributes: Enthusiastic attitude with the thirst to develop new skillsPersonable with a self-motivated and professional mannerStrong organisational and time management skillsAttention to detail with the ability to multi-taskMust have a flexible, supportive, and compassionate approachEasy-going and compassionate natureQuick to learn and show initiativeThis is a challenging and rewarding role and a "can do", positive attitude with a strong work ethic are essential. Remuneration: An attractive hourly rate will be offered to the suitably experienced candidate along with the opportunity to work within a supportive and well rewarded team.
